Courtney Ries offers the following tips on finding an all inclusive resort in Hawaii, and what the various kinds of plans typically include.

All-inclusive resorts are popular options for honeymooners, families and anyone who wishes to pay for a
majority of their vacation in advance...leaving them the time to enjoy the vacation without worrying about the bill.
Airfare and accommodation combo packages are sometimes referred to as all-inclusives, so make sure to clarify that meals
are a part of your stay before booking.
Hawaii all-inclusives are limited to just one:
The Kona Village Resort.
Your travel agent may also be able to create custom all-inclusive packages with meal vouchers;
however, these costs are not typically built into the price of the room.
Alternatives to all inclusive stays in Hawaii include adding meal plans,
either breakfast only or breakfast and dinner, to your booking.
Adding on meals may even be cheaper than all-inclusives because you're not forced to pay for
services you might not need, such as a kid's club.
Typically in Hawaii, activities such as surfing lessons, scuba diving, etc. are not included in any resort packages as they
tend to be offered only by independent activity vendors and not the hotel itself.

On The Big Island, the
Kona Village Resort is Hawaii's only
Polynesian-style resort with complimentary activities for children and adults and all meals included in the price.
The 82-acre property has 125 individual hales – small cottages.
