Courtney Ries offers the following tips on finding an all inclusive resort in Tahiti, and what the various kinds of plans typically include.

Tahiti resorts
that are all inclusive are few and far between.
With the exception of Club Med, there isn't a Caribbean-style 'all meals, all activities' resort to be found.
However, that's not to say you can't find some fantastic deals – including specials that offer free breakfast and dinner,
or vouchers for activities or spa services.
Contact a travel agent to learn more about current Tahiti 'mostly inclusive' specials.
When researching Tahiti packages, pay special attention to what 'all inclusive' rates actually include.
A trio of airfare, transfers and accommodation might be marked all-inclusive,
while another resort that includes breakfast and dinner but no airfare may call itself the same thing.
Make sure to compare apples to apples when looking at different packages as well, including the activities,
room category, meals, transfers, taxes, airfare and other expenses.
Additionally, ask your travel agent if you can pre-pay for a MAP or FAP program--nearly
all resorts in Tahiti
offer this option.
MAP stands for Modified American Plan and includes breakfast and dinner or lunch and dinner.
FAP or Full American Plans provide three meals a day.
If you see EP - European Plan - it means no meals are included with the price.

An alternative to all-inclusive or mostly- inclusive resorts in Tahiti is the
Star Clippers line.
Having recently announced Tahiti itineraries (first sailing is in December 2007),
guests are entitled to complimentary meals and free non-motorized activities.
Their flagship mega-yacht in Tahiti, the Star Flyer,
travels to a number of islands including
Moorea,
Bora Bora,
Huahine and
Rangiroa.
