Lindsey's Trek Across Nepal to Raise Money for Orphans
	Event Details I will be heading to Kathmandu, Nepal on September 25, 2008, to trek to Everest Base Camp. I will be there approximately three weeks. My Story For a long time I have dreamed of going to Mount Everest... I don't need to climb the mountain, I just want to be in its presence! I read book after book about Everest and recently came across an opportunity through the Global Volunteer Network to raise money for the one million orphans of Nepal and trek to Everest's Base Camp at the same time... this is a dream come true for me. I get to live out my dream and help children who desperately need us at the same time. I will even get to meet the children I am helping to support. Funds raised through this trek will support the 13 children currently living in the Brighter Future Children's Home. There are 8 boys and 5 girls, aged from 6 to 14 years who reside in the home. They will have a brand new place to live! I hope that you will think about your dreams, fulfilled or not, and help me with mine.
