Aloha! The Islands of Hawaii remain one of my top choices for summer and fall getaways. Stay a while, island hop, and experience the diversity and uniqueness of our 50th state. The "Big Island" of Hawaii is getting even bigger. Since 1983 the Kilauea Volcano has been constantly active. Experience the power of nature as you witness the birth of Hawaii's ever expanding border. The wettest place on earth resides in the mountains of Kauai. 460 inches of average annual rainfall contribute to the rivers and streams that have etched deep canyons in the emerald green tropical landscape. Take a helicopter ride through “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific”, sweep past dramatic water falls or the awe inspiring cliffs of the Na Pali coast. For many of us the attack of Pearl Harbor came before our time, and the tragic events of December 7, 1941 are what books and movies are made of. Take advantage of a rare opportunity, and visit the Pearl Harbor War Memorial. See history through the eyes of those that were there. Former military personnel are on-sight to give their first hand accounts of that historic day. Take a warm coat to the tropics and visit Maui's highest peak. Witness a breathtaking sunrise over Haleakala Crater. Bike down a volcano and spend the afternoon relaxing poolside at one of Maui's 5 star resorts. Hawaii, the possibilities are endless...
