Creative registry item of the month

This month our winners are Elizabeth & Clark, who will soon be leaving on their honeymoon to Germany!

The wine houses of Rhine and Mosel Valleys

"Sample the delicious regional wines that make the Mosel and Rhine wineries so popular."
The fun stuff on your registry always get bought first!
What a romantic gift to buy someone--a *clink* toast instead of a toaster :-)

Lisa Light's new book: Destination Bride

Lisa Light's new guide to destination weddings   We've worked with Lisa for some time now, and she's always been a terrific source of information--even helping me out with some issues that came up with my own wedding. Lisa sent me a pre-release copy of her book, Destination Bride, and it's terrific. You'll find a tremendous amount of helpful, detailed information on wedding destinations, including important facts about marriage laws, currency exchanges, and wedding and religious customs. As well, there's a ton of great info on how to select a location, set a budget, make travel arrangements and coordinate the ceremony. Check it out on Amazon.com.

Lisa Light is a respected destination wedding planner, and authority who has appeared on Good Morning America, ABC's World News Tonight and Inside Edition. Lisa has been featured in Elegant Bride, Modern Bride, The Wall Street Journal, Grace Ormonde's Wedding Style, and The Los Angeles Times. She writes a regular column for Destination Weddings and Honeymoons Magazine.

Going the extra mile: airbrushing your pics

Not everyone is a whiz at editing photos, or an Ansel Adams behind the camera. The picture you upload to your wedding web page also gets used for your e-postcards, so we're happy to help you make you look your absolute best!

If you'd like us to work a little magic on your photo, just send it to me at Michael@thebigday.com and either Aruna, Jared or myself will be happy to "polish it up" for you. Here's some examples of what we've done for our customers in the past:
  • removed power lines and telephone poles in the background
  • eliminated the reflection of the flash in the mirror
  • improved the contrast, brightness, and color cast
  • airbrushed out dust spots and scratches
  • taken the redness out of noses & cheeks when somebody had perhaps been celebrating a little too much ;-p
  • airbrushed stains and food crumbs from a table cloth
  • we've even removed people from the background in restaurant photos.
Send us your pic for your wedding web page, and we'll work our magic. And yes, we do this for free! We want you to look your very best.

Here's to YOUR Big Day,

Michael
