Creative registry item of the month

This month our winners are Michele & Dan, who honeymooned in Costa Rica--known for its ecotourism, and one of the hottest honeymoon destinations today.

Night Nature Tour with "The Bug Lady"

On this two-hour trek through the rainforest, we will join Biologist Tracie "The Bug Lady" and spotter extraordinaire Victor Perez, as they team up to reveal the intriguing world of moonlight exploration.

Outfitted with flashlights and night vision optics, we'll go in search of the critters you love to loath - from bugs to bats, to all that creeps, crawls and flies by night. And true, we're sure to see the beast with two brains on this tour. But fear not! The tales on this trek are sure to turn our fear and loathing to grudging admiration for some of the most remarkable - and misunderstood - creatures on the planet.
The fun stuff on your registry always get bought first!

Wedding Cake FAQs

Click to see Micki's Designer Cake website   This month, our guest writer is Micki Wood, a professional wedding cake designer, who owns and operates Wedding Cake Creations in Bloomington, Indiana. Micki answers some of her most frequently-asked questions for TheBigDay couples:

Micki says: "In my experience, there is no such thing as a "dumb question". Your Wedding Day is one of the most important days of your life, and should be perfect. If you don't know the answer to your wedding cake question, then it is a good question and you should ask!"

We're in the news again

TheBigDay's been popping up all over in the news this January!

Click here to visit the Jane Pauley Show website   Cartoonist Cathy Guisewite appeared on the Jane Pauley show, talking about the charity registry Cathy and Irving have at TheBigDay. As well, we were mentioned in Bride's magazine, Destination Weddings and Honeymoons magazine, the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the Los Angeles Times, the Daily Camera, the Portland Business Journal, Cat Fancy magazine, and the Nashua Telegraph.

Aphrodisiac of the Month Club

Just in time for Valentine's Day: acknowledged aphrodisiac expert Amy Reiley (she's got a Master of Gastronomy degree from France's Le Cordon Bleu) has just launched her gourmet Aphrodisiac of the Month club today (Feb. 1).

"Aphrodisiac foods are nature's way of enhancing libido so why not unleash the power of food on your Valentine this year?" suggests Reiley. "It's easy to create 'in the mood' dishes when you select the right ingredients."

Each month AOTM members will receive a lavish selection of the world's most potent culinary aphrodisiacs.

Thanks to Jeff here at TheBigDay for getting us the "scoop" on this new company!
