Creative registry item of the month

This month our winners are Steve and Doug, the first people we've had who've registered for their deck!

The fun stuff on your registry always get bought first!   "Since we already have a household full of items normally given at weddings, the normal registry won't work for us.

Rather than typical china, toasters and other housewares, we'd like to give you an opportunity to help us build a roof-top deck."

Items on their registry included: corner posts; railings; deck furniture; flooring; and the construction crew (pictured).

Casting call for a new TV series

Casting call!

A major television network (sorry, we're not allowed to say which one :-) contacted us recently. They're creating a brand new TV series, and they are looking for committed/engaged couples to star in their series!

This will be a romantic, emotionally healing type show, created with the intentions of bridging the gap between groom and his future in-laws.

Participating couples and their parents will receive a minimum of $20,000 for the program. Interested? Click here for details.

"Toasters are out! Engaged couples are tossing traditional registries faster than bouquets, asking for cash instead of Cuisinarts."

Question of the month from our message boards

Question: One of our brides had used our e-postcards to send everyone a picture of the two of them and a link to their wedding website, but that was months ago when they first got engaged.

Now that the wedding is getting a lot closer, she wanted to know how to send a reminder to everyone.

Answer: As you get closer to the wedding, all sorts of details are getting finalized, from menus to times and locations. Make sure your wedding website has up-to-date information, especially including times, locations, and driving directions and/or maps.

Then, when you're a couple of months out, send another batch of e-postcards to all your guests with a short message--something like "We've updated our wedding website: times, locations, directions...come see!".
