Description

Stunningly situated overlooking Sydney Harbour in the historic Rocks district, a short walk from the city's shopping and business centres, Four Seasons is vibrant and elegant, with dramatic harbourfront views and a luxurious new spa featuring exclusive skincare and aromatherapy treatments.

Accommodations

The Hotel offers 531 rooms and suites, elegantly decorated in a luxurious contemporary style. Views from the guest rooms include Sydney’s most famous icons: the sunrise over the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Sydney Opera House, the harbour, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour and beyond. Half of the rooms enjoy full or partial harbour views. All rooms include features to accommodate the business traveller: two-line telephones, data port/modem hook-up, High-speed e-mail and Internet access and a safe large enough for a laptop computer.

Guest Rooms Summary

Guest Rooms
City View, Opera View, and Full Harbour View Rooms offer one king or two twin beds and a full marble bathroom, as well as a sitting area with an armchair and a built-in desk. City View, Opera View, Deluxe Harbour View and Full Harbour View Junior Suites feature a spacious, open floor plan. These studio-style corner rooms include a king bed, a sofa and side chair, an executive desk and a luxurious bathroom.

Suites
Expansive one-bedroom City View and Harbour View Executive Suites feature a master bedroom with one king bed, a comfortable sitting area and an ensuite bathroom. The living room offers a generous sitting area, ideal for relaxing, informal meetings or entertaining.

Located on the top floor, the one-bedroom Royal Suites offer the spacious feeling of a private apartment, with views of the city and Sydney Harbour. The graciously appointed sitting room features a dining area for eight and an adjacent guest powder room. The king-bedded master bedroom offers a study/dressing room and a luxurious marble bathroom. The similarly appointed Deluxe Royal Suite features additional amenities, such as an armoire in the master bedroom concealing an entertainment centre.

The Presidential Suite, also on the top floor, is a large two-bedroom suite with stunning views. The gorgeous living room offers generous seating space, while the eight-seat dining room features an adjoining kitchen. The master bedroom includes a sitting area as well as a separate study/dressing room and a magnificent bathroom. The second bedroom of this premier suite also features an ensuite bathroom.

Executive Club
Located on Level 32 of the Hotel, the Executive Club offers added amenities and services to all guests for a nominal fee.

Dining

Kable's, the Hotel's premier restaurant, offers a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere and enjoys a substantial reputation in a city known for its exciting dining.

Kable's is located on level two of the Hotel, reached by a sweeping grand staircase from the lobby. The décor is intimate, with rich carpeting and floors of dark stained parquet. Kable's offers a wide range of cosmopolitan Australian menu choices. An intimate wine bar at the entrance is the place to sample an unrivalled range of Australia's best boutique wines. Seats 120, with private dining rooms available for 10 to 50 guests and a Chef's Table in the kitchen seats up to 16 guests.

Specialties
Modern Australian cuisine with emphasis on seafood, shellfish and beef. Signature dishes include:
  • Salmon pastrami with grissini and caperberry
  • Gnocchi of taleggio with semi dried tomato and sage
  • Queensland Barramundi with paper bark baked, steamed asparagus and lemon-thyme butter
  • Lemon mascarpone semifreddo with seasonal fruit in balsamic syrup


Spa

The city's most pampering spa focuses on total wellness. It tempts with a menu of treatments conceived to create a serene, rejuvenating experience. Expert practitioners restore well-being with customised massage treatments, polishing and grooming services, cleansing treatments for the face and body, and wraps to tighten and tone – all offered in an atmosphere of comfort and discretion.

Among the Spa's six treatment rooms is a suite especially for couples, an intimate parlour with two massage tables, a hydrotherapy bath, a steam room and a shower. Other treatment rooms feature luxurious men's and women's change rooms, each appointed with a steam room and sauna. Every detail has been considered, so your complete relaxation is ensured – allowing you to leave the world outside.

Activities

Outdoor Pool
The Hotel offers Sydney’s largest heated outdoor hotel pool. Triangular in shape, the 20-metre (66-foot) pool also has a separate whirlpool. The adjacent Cabana restaurant is open during the summer months.

Fitness Center
Offering comprehensive fitness facilities, the Spa and Fitness Centre occupies 350 square metres (3,767 square feet) on level three of the Hotel. It features a well-equipped fitness area with five upright and recumbent bicycles, as well as Lifecycles, StairMasters, treadmills (each with TV monitor and headphones), free weights and weight-training machines. This area also includes Swiss medicine balls, exercise and stretching mats, punching bags and gloves, and a water station.
