Hayman is Australia's most celebrated private island destination, beautifully situated in the magnificent Great Barrier Reef and presenting an array of unique and memorable resort and Reef experiences.
Surrounded by idyllic coral fringed beaches and the lapping waters of the Coral Sea, Hayman offers 212 guest rooms, suites, penthouses and a beach villa. The accommodation, restaurants, guest service areas, marine facilities and operational plant, have been designed to blend in with the natural beauty of the surroundings. No part of the resort is higher than four stories and throughout, shady ponds and gentle waterfalls thread their way among beautiful gardens, spacious walkways and open air lanais.
Guests travel to Hayman to bask in a beautiful tropical climate, with warm days, year round swimming and a relaxed atmosphere. Throughout the year, the weather is warm and sultry with January traditionally the hottest month. The winter months offer warm days with only a light jacket or sweater normally required during the evening. July is traditionally the coolest month.

Accommodations
Hayman presents resort living in 244 beautifully appointed rooms, suites, penthouses and a villa, situated in Pool, Palm, Lagoon and Beach Wings, all featuring private terraces or balconies.
The Pool Wing, comprising Pool Superior and Deluxe rooms and Pool Suites, overlooks the famous Hayman Pool and tropical gardens. Level 3 also offers views out to the Coral Sea and neighbouring Hook Island. This wing is ideal for guests wishing to be close to and enjoy views of the icon pool.
The Palm Wing, comprising Palm Superior rooms, is centrally located in the resort with excellent access to all facilities.
The Lagoon Wing, comprising Lagoon Superior and Deluxe rooms, Lagoon Suites and 11 Penthouses, overlooks the tranquil lagoon, tropical gardens and Lagoon Pool. Level 3 and 4 - the latter housing the resort Penthouses - also offer views out to the Coral Sea and neighbouring Hook Island. This wing offers larger rooms and suites than those in the Pool Wing.
The Beach Wing comprises Beach Front rooms and a private Beach Villa fronting Hayman Beach, and Retreat Rooms set back from the beach in tropical gardens. This wing is ideal for couples wishing to stay in boutique accommodation in tranquil surrounds.
Dining
Hayman provides unique culinary indulgences. The resort boasts fabulous restaurants and bars plus a lounge, and hosts evenings with the Chef in the main kitchen. Guests can also dine in special outdoor island settings or in the Reef surrounds.
Dining is presented by acclaimed chefs in superb restaurants, which are non-smoking and open selected evenings. Restaurant bookings are required. Meanwhile, meals can also be enjoyed within guest rooms, at a Chef's banquet, or in other resort locations. Sunset cocktails and supper are served nightly.
Elegant La Fontaine offers a formal, yet relaxed atmosphere - a sense of grand occasion - created by a combination of soft and rich tonings and romantic lighting amid Louis XVI furnishings, Waterford crystal chandeliers and a magnificent central limestone fountain. Guests are treated to an exquisite selection of authentically prepared modern European cuisine utilising the best in local and international produce. The cuisine is matched by La Fontaine wine cellar's impressive range of over 750 vintages from the world's premier vineyards.
Al fresco home-style Italian and Mediterranean dining in La Trattoria is enjoyed in a rustic indoor and outdoor setting of local timbers, hand beaten chandeliers, hanging vines and terracotta tiles. Famous for its spectacular antipasto displays and piping hot pizzas, La Trattoria's lively village atmosphere is enhanced by dance music from the resident band.
Specialties of traditional Asian cultures are prepared with innovative flare at Oriental, overlooking a ceremonial tea house, which can seat 10 guests for a private dinner, and tranquil garden filled with rock pools and waterfalls. Dining platforms, each seating 4 guests, are scattered among exquisite gardens and provide a unique setting for dinner. Inside, Oriental is adorned with antiques and artefacts including 18th Century screens, copper lamps and a happy Buddha.
Overlooking the Hayman Beach and beyond to the Whitsunday waters and neighbouring islands, Azure presents Australian contemporary cuisine from an open show kitchen, specialising in fresh seafood, in an indoor and outdoor setting.
The Chef's Table is a weekly event hosted by one of Hayman's premier chefs, taking guests behind the scenes into the Main Kitchen for a 6-course banquet with matching wines and includes a visit to the famous La Fontaine wine cellar and Chocolate Room.
