Bougainvillea Beach Resort offers 138 beautifully outfitted suites, all with elegant furnishings in crisp Caribbean colours. Spacious rooms, granite tabletops, oversized bathrooms, and private balconies or terraces offering gorgeous views all create an atmosphere of understated luxury.

All rooms are fully air-conditioned and equipped with kitchen facilities, safe, iron & board, cable colour TV, clock radio, hair dyer, ceiling fans and direct dial telephone.

STUDIOS: Feature one spacious room with large, private balcony or terrace, full air conditioning Queen size bed, and L-shaped couch, full kitchen (fridge, microwave oven, oven and stove), cable colour TV and private bathroom and shower.

DELUXE STUDIOS: Feature one spacious room with large, private balcony or terrace, full air conditioning, Queen size bed with pullout couch or King-size on request. Mini kitchen (fridge, two burner stove, microwave), cable color TV, bath and shower.

ONE BEDROOM SUITES: Feature separate bedroom, large living/dining room, with private balcony or terrace, full air conditioning, King size bed, Queen size pullout couch, full kitchen, cable colour TV and private shower.

DELUXE ONE BEDROOM SUITES: Feature separate bedroom, large living/dining room area, with private balcony or terrace, full air conditioning, King-size bed or two double beds on request, Queen size pull-out couch, full kitchen, cable colour TV, tub bath and shower.

ONE BEDROOM PENTHOUSES: Include large, private balcony or terrace, full air conditioning, King size bed and Queen size pullout couch, full kitchen, cable colour TV, tub bath and shower. Minimum of 200 sq ft. larger than Deluxe One Bedroom suites.

DELUXE TWO BEDROOM SUITES: Made up of a Deluxe One Bedroom suite with an adjoining door to a Deluxe Studio OR one unit featuring two separate bedroom areas with King size bed, queen size bed and a shared kitchen, bathroom and living room with a pull out sofa.

TWO BEDROOM BEACHFRONT LUXURY SUITES: Include large private balconies and/or terraces with spectacular ocean views, King size bed, Queen size bed, Queen size pullout couch, full kitchen, cable colour TV, two separate bathrooms, both with tub bath and shower.

Dining

Lanterns By the Sea is beautifully situated right on the seaside, and serves a delicious selection of local and international cuisine. The day begins with an extensive breakfast buffet, which includes an array of fruits, pastries and hearty hot dishes. Our exciting and sumptuous menu offers great choices for lunch and dinner. Vegetarian dishes and children's menus are available daily. The dress code is casual for daytime, and elegantly casual during the evening.

The Monday Manager's Cocktail Party is followed by a tasty BBQ buffet and the scintillating sound of the Caribbean Steelpan. On Thursday guests enjoy a Caribbean buffet dinner and a spectacular Floor Show, which may include dancing, fire eating, limbo performances and more in the tropical seaside setting.

Water's Edge is an intimate, elegant, seaside restaurant serving exquisite Caribbean and International gourmet cuisine. Guests enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting, with cooling sea breezes and nearby lapping waves. Water's Edge promises many evenings of tropical ambiance, tempting cuisine, and warm, attentive service. Open Monday to Saturday, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.

The intimate fine dining at Water's Edge is complimented by talented local singers and musical entertainers each Wednesday and Saturday, between 8 - 10 p.m.

Spa

The professional team at Waves Beauty Salon & Spa offers services including unisex hair styling, facials, body wraps, manicures and pedicures. Body treatments include aromatherapy massage, stone therapy, hot body scrubs and acupuncture. Special bridal packages are available offering make-up and hair styling, with free prior consultation.

Activities

Whether for fitness or fun, try a game of tennis on our championship-size hard court, which is available for a game during the day or for floodlit evening play.

The Challenger Games Room is perfect for teenagers and the young at heart with excellent indoor activity options including table tennis and token operated pool table, air hockey, and foosball.

Enjoy a good game of shuffleboard, located in the gardens overlooking the beautiful blue sea. All equipment can be obtained from Guest Services during the day.

Their well-equipped watersports facility, located directly on the beach offers complimentary boogie boarding, snorkelling equipment and kayaking. Other options include but are not limited to windsurfing, kite surfing, hobie-cat sailing and turtle trips! Experienced and informative attendants are on hand to help with all your sea-faring activities. Join us for a game of beach volleyball - the results are a great time, tan, and workout!

Sun lounges, umbrellas, and beach towels are all complimentary to our guests.

With this in mind, Bougainvillea, a part owner of the Barbados Golf Club, has created the Tee for Two Golf Package to create the perfect Caribbean vacation for golf enthusiasts. Along with the sun and sea, you can enjoy the beautiful and challenging 72 par, 18-hole championship course, redesigned by Ron Kirby, one of the most respected and experienced golf course architects in the world. The Barbados Golf Club is just 10 minutes from the resort and Bougainvillea guests enjoy discounted green fees and preferential tee-times.

Visit the Fitness Factory and make toning and exercise a part of your vacation. Our fully air-conditioned Fitness Centre is well equipped with all the latest cardiovascular and strength training machines. These include free weights, stair climbers, weight machines, treadmills, elliptical cross training machines, exercise balls and much more. Join our aerobic classes for exceptional cardiovascular exercise. Our Aerobic programme offers classes for all abilities of fitness. Proper gym attire is required.

Meandering free form pools with cascading waterfalls, and lush greenery creates a picturesque scene that delights the senses. Relax on loungers around the pool deck or dip into one of the pools and enjoy an icy cocktail from the swim-up bar. A short walk away and you can stroll along a stretch of powder white sand beach, before heading to the soothing waves of the emerald Caribbean Sea.
