Popular Fiji itineraries
Most Fiji honeymoons involve overnight stays on two islands: Viti Levu and...somewhere else. With, it
should be noted, a majority of the time spent at the 'somewhere else'. However, if you have the
opportunity to explore Viti Levu, you can take in its highlights during a very rushed and busy day.

Arrive into Nadi town and spend the night away from the city center on either the Coral Coast or the
properties on Denarau Island.

The next day, if you wish to explore Viti Levu, hire a car and
drive around the island via the Kings and Queens Roads, stopping in Suva, Sigatoka and Lautoka for souvenirs, museums and shopping.

If you wish to visit a local village, stop at Navala Village, where bures (homes) are still built with traditional methods and materials.

The following day, catch a flight or boat to either the Mamanucas, Yasawas, Northern Islands or elsewhere
and set up your 'home base'. Spend your days SCUBA diving, snorkeling, lying around the beach and
cuddling up with your new husband or wife. Spend your evenings dining on fine food, participating in a
kava ceremony or watching traditional Fijian dance.
Due to the close proximity of many of the islands within the various chains, it is easy to catch a boat between
them for a day trip...or, in some cases, even wade across at low tide!
Multi island Fiji itinerary
Follow the same itinerary listed above, except extend your trip to another island chain. Try for an island
with a different feel, so if you were visiting a small island where the only thing was a resort, look to the
bigger islands in the Northern chain.
If you were focusing on a place with beautiful beaches but few reefs, try
mixing it up so you are able to see some wildlife below the water. Your BigDay expert can recommend an itinerary
that combines your interests, your budget and your time frame for an ideal honeymoon.

Hop all around the islands! Spent your first night on Viti Levu to recover and then catch a fast
ferry to the Mamanucas to enjoy the ten mile Malolo Barrier Reef.
There, start out nice and easy with
excellent conditions for beginners and those who need to remember how to breathe underwater.

After two or three days there, move onto Naviti in the Yasawas via boat and spot manta rays. Finally,
pack your bags up one more time and travel to Taveuni and its famous Rainbow Reef for speedy currents
and excellent soft coral dives.

Have more time or don't care about the manta rays? Leave Viti Levu and go south to Kadavu's Astrolabe Reef.
Remote islands Fiji itinerary
For a vacation way off the beaten path, charter a flight to take you from Viti Levu to the virtually
unvisited Lau Islands, halfway to Tonga! However, know that there is little development here and homestays
will require permission in advance.
