Description

Its natural, unspoiled beauty can be found at every turn. Five miles of pristine beaches and 12 miles of ocean trails await you. At every turn you're literally surrounded by the history and majesty of the island. Of all Oahu resorts or Oahu hotels, Turtle Bay is quite simply, the best. Other Oahu hotels don't come close.

Accommodations

The 375 guest rooms throughout the hotel each offer approximately 478 square feet of living space. Authentic, traditional Hawaiian décor and the option of two double queen beds or a king size bed is available with each room.

All rooms boast beautiful views of the ocean and resort, a full bath with vanity, wireless Internet access, telephone with two lines and data port and sleep two to four. The Premium and Deluxe rooms offer the additional luxury of a private lanai.

The beach cottages at Turtle Bay Resort are grouped in clusters of six and situated along the west shore of beautiful Turtle Bay. Impressively appointed, all the cottages feature the inspirations of renowned Los Angeles designer, Michael Smith.

From the outside, the cottages are handsomely dressed in imperial yellow with copper flashing and rain caches on the outside. Inside, polished Brazilian walnut floors lead to a large, multi-level beach retreat with 15-foot ceilings and king poster beds. The cottages are equipped with large marble bathrooms featuring Kallista deep-soak tubs, freestanding glass showers, and private, enclosed toilets. Cottages range in size from 740 to 850 square feet of living space.

Dining

Dining at Turtle Bay Resort is a feast for the senses. Our chefs prepare gourmet cuisine with style and skill unique to the islands of Hawaii.

Enjoy a menu featuring a delicious variety of contemporary island cuisine at 21 Degrees North. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Lei Lei's Bar and Grill serves a spectacular dinner featuring fresh seafood entrees and savory beef, chicken and pork dishes. Elaborate buffets are a delight at Palm Terrace and Sunday brunch, in The Sunset Room, should not be missed.

Located at Bay View Beach, the Sand Bar offers light fare, fresh grilled kabobs and a full bar. Enjoy tropical drinks at the outdoor, surfside Hang Ten bar or late-night entertainment, dancing and cocktails at the Bay Club.

Spa

Pono in Hawaiian means 'the true condition of nature.' In terms of well-being, Pono is when the entire person--body, mind and spirit are in harmony. True health as nature intended. The first step in achieving this harmony is to relax. Our name, Spa Luana, takes its meaning from this spirit of relaxation. It's one of the best of all the Oahu spas, where you can achieve total relaxation and begin to find true health, as defined by the people and traditions of the islands.

The spa is available for resort guests as well as Oahu day spa visitors. Truly "a find" among Oahu day spas and Hawaii spa getaways.

Activities

Miles of white-sand beaches, ironwood forests and a tropical countryside await your exploration. Add Sunset Beach, the Banzai Pipeline and Waimea Bay and Turtle Bay Resort is minutes from the world's most legendary surfing spots. Turtle Bay Resort is surrounded by the best Hawaii - and nature - has to offer.

Turtle Bay Resort is Oahu's only resort to offer 36 holes of championship golf and is the site of the PGA TOUR Champion's Tour Turtle Bay Championship Event through 2008.

The Arnold Palmer and George Fazio Courses have been widely recognized as the best of all Hawaii golf courses.

In the winter, waves up to 30 feet break offshore. From December to April watch the mighty and playful Humpback whales from your lanai as they appear during their annual migration from Alaska.

See their webcam.

Weddings

The Wedding Pavilion, located on the tip of scenic Kuilima Point, is a dramatic glass-walled sanctuary.

Just a bouquet toss away from the magnificent blue Pacific, the Pavilion offers happy couples, their friends and relatives stunning views, sounds of the surf, Hawaii's tropical breezes, and the world's most beautiful sunsets.

Awards

Meetings & Conventions 2004--"Gold Key Award"
Condé Nast Traveler 2004 Annual Golf Poll--"Top 100 Golf Resorts"
Resorts & Great Hotels 2004--"Connoisseur's Choice Award"
Travel + Leisure Golf 2003--"Number 1 Most Underrated Golf Course in Hawaii"

Local Area

The North Shore of Oahu offers a diversity of scenery and activities in a warm and friendly community. Along the coastline are some of the world's most legendary surfing spots: Sunset Beach, the Banzai Pipeline and Waimea Bay.

Turtle Bay Resort is located on the lands of Kuilima where the wide plains "mauka" (mountain side) of the resort are presently covered by the golf course. Kuilima means "to go arm in arm." Hawaiian legend refers to three men who walked in that manner while crossing these plains.

As a result of the Oahu resort's unique position on the island, all of the 375 luxury guest rooms, 26 suites and 42 beach cottages offer picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean. These Oahu accommodations are the best Hawaii has to offer. No matter which Turtle Bay Resort lodging you choose on Oahu, you will be surrounded by the beauty and majesty of the North Shore.
