Honeymoon Suites

The resort's most distinguished accommodations, these spacious, charming rooms offer the best view of the rainforest. The rooms also have a balcony, jacuzzi, and a mini-bar for those who prefer to turn in early and relax in privacy. During 2006, new services and amenities were added to these special rooms.

Junior Suites

Ideal for couples, families or groups of up to 4, the airy Junior Suites contain a master bedroom and living area, and feature private terrace with jacuzziwhile providing exceptional views of the verdant gardens from the patio or the balcony. These suites also feature a fully stocked mini-bar, DVD players and luxurious cotton bathrobes.

Deluxe Forest Rooms

These rooms feature a gorgeous king-size bed crafted by local artisans, a spacious bathroom with a fitted jacuzzi, and a beautiful view, facing the splendor of the rain forest. Honeymooning couples will be greeted with a special romantic welcome package.

Superior Rooms

In addition to the forest and garden room amenities, these rooms offer plush cotton bathrobes and a breathtaking view of the Arenal volcano, especially perfect for those who wish to view the volcano at night. Superior rooms have been recently remodeled, and now they offer DVDs, new furnishings and additional amenities.

Forest and Garden Rooms

The spacious, elegant and comfortable forest and garden rooms accommodate two to three people, and are equipped with one king-sized or two queen-sized beds. They have either a private balcony or a terrace overlooking the tropical gardens, and many have a direct or partial view of the volcano. All include split-unit, silent air conditioning, a spacious bathroom with bathtubs (wheelchair accessible rooms feature large showers), cable TV, telephone, safe deposit box, coffee maker and hair dryer.

Dining

Every evening you'll be treated to international gourmet cuisine in a gorgeous setting, as well as an unforgettable front row view of natural volcanic fireworks.

Ave de Paraiso

Featuring lovely views of the main waterfall and the lush tropical gardens, Ave del Paraíso is located in the resort's hot springs and garden area. Some tables offer direct volcano views. The restaurant is designed to accommodate large group lunches and dinners, and also for guests seeking a more informal setting.

Their extensive lunch menu features salads, sandwiches and light entrees. Fruit juices and milk shakes complement our Fusion style cuisine, and are perfect for the mid-day meal. Their renowned tropical cocktails are available from the main bar.

Dinners are served buffet style. While the salad, pasta and dessert bars are staples in the evening service, main courses vary according to the day's theme. Daily selections always feature at least three main courses, hot and cold side dishes and grilled selections. Native Costa Rican ingredients, which typically include white or yellow rice, black beans, yucca (cassava), plantain, chayote (local squash), hearts of palm, pejibaye and many other local favorites, combined with international ingredients are an integral part of their recipes.

Los Tucanes

Los Tucanes offers first-class dining in a relaxed setting. Located on the hotel grounds, with spectacular volcano views and bordered by the rainforest, this welcoming and intimate restaurant serves a tropical breakfast buffet and á la carte dinners. Live music provides a lively yet cozy atmosphere, complemented by the sounds of water flowing into the hot springs pools.

The delicious breakfast buffet supplies the freshest tropical fruit, omelets made to order, along with traditional Costa Rican dishes and U.S.-style breakfast fare, all accompanied by freshly-made tropical drinks and Costa Rica's best coffee.

Guests at Los Tucanes have the opportunity to dine on the best of international, gourmet and Costa Rican cuisine. They also offer vegetarian options and a lighter-fare menu. Kids will find something to their liking on our children's menu and everyone will enjoy something sweet from the large array of desserts.

Arenal Wet Bar

One of Tabacón's signature locations within the property! The Arenal Wet Bar at the main pool offers superb views of the Arenal Volcano. Guests enjoy tropical drinks and cocktails, immersed in the hot springs pool, relaxing or chatting with other guests.

El Palenque Bar

Located in the tropical gardens of the resort's amazing hot springs, surrounded by one of the most beautiful rainforests in the whole world, the Tabacón river and an spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano.

Caña Brava Bar

(pictured) Experience a great time in the lobby bar, next to the hotel's front desk. They offer live music every day, delicious snacks, and a plasma TV for those who enjoy sports or any other special shows on television.

Spa

Submerge in an experience full of intense sensations transmitted through our wide array of massages: some profound like the core of the volcano, others warm like our thermal river, or caressing like the wind that moves the foliage, in a harmonious dance of energy.

The Hotel features a quiet swimming pool and outside Jacuzzi filled with thermal mineral water, the perfect place to enjoy the natural surroundings of the property: the rainforest and volcano.

Find a wide selection of souvenirs, costume jewelry and traditional Costa Rican products in any of the three gift shops located at the Resort.

Tabacón offers a continuous complimentary shuttle between the hotel and the resort's hot springs.

Land transportation to other local destinations: this service, from the Resort to the main hotels in San José – the capital – and other locations in the Costa Rican Pacific region, is offered daily in different schedules. The one-way ticket price includes transfer to the major resorts and hotel properties. Advance reservations are requested.
