The beauty of the tropical surroundings blends perfectly with design of the accommodations at One&Only Kanuhura. All the Villas and Suites are built from natural materials and are equipped with tasteful solid timber furniture of the highest quality.

The resort features 100 well appointed Beach and Water Villas or Suites - all fully air-conditioned, each with its own private veranda overlooking the sea, four-poster king-size bed, open-air sunken bathtub and shower, TV, VCD player, mini bar, safe, IDD telephone and e-mail connection.

Dining

The main restaurant, Thin Rah open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, features three individually designed "open cooking stations" where guests enjoy a whole new dining experience watching the master cooks at work.

Savor the best of international delights including Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Indonesian, Malay, Middle Eastern or Continental specialties.

The Olive Tree, a signature restaurant, offers traditional Mediterranean food in a contemporary setting with taste and variety, and a fine list of wines from all over the world.

For extra privacy, guests can take advantage of Kanuhura's "In-Villa" dining service to feel thoroughly pampered.

Spa

The Veyoge Spa has its own lavish pavilion, complete with a health and beauty center, with separate amenities for ladies and gents. For total beauty treatment, the Beauty Salon offers hair care, manicure, pedicure and personalized make-up. Aerobics, meditation and workouts at the Gymnasium are also part of the spa's attractions, where facilities are among the best in the world.

Activities

There are two tennis courts, an air-conditioned squash court, table-tennis and a volley-ball area close to the Watersports Center. The Watersports Center offers windsurfing, sailing, water-skiing and canoeing, catamaran trips and dolphin safari.

Local Area

Built on an atoll island with two beautiful little island neighbors, One&Only Kanuhura is a very private hideaway with a wide range of relaxations, activities, sports, restaurants and bars. Close by are some of the world's best diving sites, with the outer reef dropping down nearly 2,000 meters.

The uncompromising attention to detail begins the moment guests touch down at Malé airport, where resort staff welcome and escort them to a private lounge to await the short seaplane flight to Kanuhura.

Location:

Located to the west of Sri Lanka, the 26 natural atolls, which make up the Maldives, contain some 1200 coral islands, infinite sandbanks and reefs that stretch 820 km across the equator from North to South, and 120 km East to West. With such an assemblage spread over an area of 90,000 square km in the Indian Ocean, it is interesting to note that only 200 of these islands are inhabited, while an additional 90 have been converted into resorts. Tropical in climate with two significant seasons; the north-east monsoon, from December to May, is light and fairly dry, while the south-west monsoon, from June to November, occasionally brings brief downpours followed by sunshine. The temperature ranges from mid-20s to mid-30s and is highest in April and May.

One&Only Kanuhura is located on the eastern rim of the Faadhippolhu Atoll (Lhaviyani Atoll), just 150 km, or 93 miles, from Male’ (the capital of the Maldives), and is a 40-minute flight by seaplane from Male’ International airport.
