Description
The bold architectural design with individual bridges leading to the extraordinary infinity pool suites and columns reaching towards the sky makes Jade Mountain one of the Caribbean's most mesmerizing resort experiences. Expect grand sweeping spaces beyond your imagination, with your bedroom, living area and extravagantly sized private infinity edge pool gliding into one another to form an amazing platform floating in space, with the 4th wall missing entirely - the result is a stage-like setting from which to embrace the full glory - and infinite views - of St. Lucia's twin Pitons and the shimmering Caribbean Sea - a view you are not likely to ever forget. Jade Mountain has its own exclusive reception area and concierge services. Fine clothing and gifts are available at the resort's boutique, SHADES OF JADE. A special a la carte spa menu has been created to offer spa treatments in the privacy of each Jade Mountain sanctuary. Integral to the suites is the Jade Mountain Club - a casual space in which to enjoy a drink or light meal. The club centre also features a large communal infinity pool. Hovering in space above the Jade Mountain Club is the Celestial Terrace. The Jade Mountain resort suites are deliberately techno-free just like the rest of Anse Chastanet - there are no telephones, radio, or television. A dedicated room service and housekeeping team is available 24 hours a day. Internet access is available at reception - for those truly determined diehards who simply cannot let go, forget the outside world and float away as the resort would like you to! Enjoy the exclusivity and private setting of Jade Mountain with all of Anse Chastanet's spa, leisure and sports facilities as well as 2 beaches which are available to Jade Mountain guests at all times.
Accommodations
In typical Anse Chastanet fashion, each of the infinity pool sanctuaries at Jade Mountain has been individually designed. All sanctuaries have an unparalleled view of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea.
All sanctuaries feature 15ft high ceilings. All other aspects, layout and size vary from sanctuary to sanctuary.
In addition to locally made fine tropical wood furniture an eclectic collection of furniture has been placed in the sanctuaries giving each one of them their own individualistic ambiance.
The living areas of the rooms are finished with more than 20 different species of tropical hardwood flooring and trims harvested in an environmentally correct way. Jade Mountain's technicians actually visited the Rain Forest of Guyana and personally chose which trees to be used. A multitude of hardwoods has been used including Purpleheart, Greenheart, Locust, Kabukali, Snakewood, Bloodwood, Etikburabali, Futukbali, Taurino, Mora and Cabbage Wood.
The interior walls are finished in a crushed blush toned coral plaster quarried in Barbados. The exterior is in massive rough concrete and imbued with locally quarried stone, with all the window openings framed with massive 3 x 18 inch tropical wood mullions and muntins which are in-filled with movable jalousie louvres. The flooring exposed to the weather is finished in quarried coral tile from neighboring islands.

Dining
The Jade Mountain Club is located on the very top of Jade Mountain - a serene, wide open space divided into a dining and bar section by the pool in the center. The Jade Mountain Club serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner and also offers an a la carte menu throughout. Directly above the Jade Mountain Club is the Celestial Terrace with more casual seating to relax or sunbathe. Jade Mountain guests can also dine at the restaurants of Anse Chastanet Resort. At Anse Chastanet's Piti Piton and Treehouse Restaurant, the culinary team celebrates award winning Tropical World Cuisine, blending Caribbean cuisine with other world cuisine experiences, from French to Mediterranean and from Fusion to New World cuisine. The dinner menu changes daily and consists of a 4 course meal served in a romantic candlelit ambiance, surrounded by beautiful original artwork. Part of the Piton Restaurant is the Treehouse, where diners are seated in an open-air area amidst treetops as the name suggests. The Trou au Diable Restaurant serves lunch daily. The lunch menu offers a wide and varied choice of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers and creole specialities from an ŕ la carte menu, in addition to a large buffet spread with hot and cold dishes. On Tuesday evenings, all guests enjoy our special Caribbean Buffet which commences with a cocktail reception followed by dinner in the Trou au Diable beach restaurant . The atmosphere is festive with the entire stretch of beach in front of the restaurant lit up by flambeau candles. The Trou au Diable restaurant offers a special Indian theme menu titled APSARA on all evenings except Tuesday. APSARA is an innovative fusion of modern East Indian and Caribbean cooking, a celebration of St.Lucia's historical and cultural ties with East India. For the less adventurous eaters, there also is a BEACH GRILL menu available. Afternoon tea is served from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. daily in both the Piton Bar and Beach Bar, and an afternoon snack menu is also available at that time. The two bars at Piti Piton Restaurant and the Trou au Diable beach restaurant are open daily and offer a wide selection of tropical cocktails, beers, liquor including also fine malt whiskeys, eau-de-vies and after dinner drinks. See sample menus for the restaurants.

Facilities
Jade Mountain's ensuite infinity pools are not accoutrements, but primary elements of the building's design. With sizes ranging from 400 to 900 square feet, the design of each pool is unique both in colour and shape. The infinity pools are meant to serve as organic components in each suite, as well as in the building as a whole; their sizes increase in relation to the different square footage of the three different room categories; SUN, MOON and STAR.
All pools feature shallow water lounging areas in addition to a large swimming area. They have been surfaced entirely in one-of-a-kind glass tiles, which have been specifically designed for Jade Mountain. The glass tiles feature a sophisticated, textured iridescent surface on one side and a smooth but undulating surface on the other.
The infinity pools are equipped with fibre optics to illuminate them at night. Guests have the option of allowing the system to cycle through a range of colours or setting it to one particular shade.
The water in Jade Mountain's infinity pools is purified by a highly sophisticated system, the primary mechanical filtration being through a zeolite sand filter and with the primary sterilization being ozone. Each pool receives individually filtered and sterilized water, and pool water cycles through the sterilization and filtration facilities approximately six times per day.
Jade Mountain was conceived as a place in which guests would be exposed to a carefully orchestrated sensory experience. The infinity pools are integral to this. As a visual element, water flowing over a vanishing edge serves to draw the view into the room, linking the view with water, and water with sky and land, sun and stars.
