Dining
Noa Noa Terrace Restaurant
Buffet and menus are adapted to our dinner shows and entertainment on Tuesday and Saturday evenings.
The attractive main hotel restaurant is at the core of the resort buildings, opening out onto an enclosed patio and down to the beach and lagoon across a superbly landscaped terrace. The setting is relaxing with indoor and out door seating and the decor very Polynesian.
The patio is lit to become the focus for our exciting dinner shows.
Vini Vini Terrace Restaurant
A convivial spot to meet and relax, overlooking the beach and lagoon and close by our pool. Happy hour is announced to the sound of the conch shell or pu and the ambience is created by music from Polynesia and around the globe.
Room Service
Even in far away Bora Bora, room service is available all day long, every day.
Spoil yourself with our star product if you are in an overwater bungalow. It's your american breakfast that appears as if by magic from across the lagoon in a decorated outrigger canoe and served on your terrace by a smiling vahine. Now there is a photo opportunity!

Weddings
Many couples dream about celebrating their wedding in the Polynesian tradition. For years, brides and grooms from Japan, the US and Europe have entrusted us with the preparation and celebration of their weddings at our Polynesian resorts, which are world renown for the authenticity of the ceremonies performed in settings of unparalleled tropical beauty.
The bride and groom are dressed in traditional fashion. To the sounds of live local music, the couple is accompanied by Tahitian dancers. Once the traditional love song is performed, the couple is united by the Master of Ceremonies, after which they exchange flower garlands worn as floral necklaces. They are then baptized with Tahitian names and given the marriage certificate.
The ceremony ends as the group dances and sings in celebration of the newly weds. The couple returns to their room or bungalow where champagne and gifts await them. The ceremony can be different in its details depending on the chosen resort and type of celebration. Prices do not include taxes.
Local Area
The Resort is located to the south side of the main island, at the famous Matira Point. Matira Point is formed by two white sand beaches, a windward beach on Taahana Bay and a leeward beach on Matira bay. This is recognised as the most beautiful site in French Polynesia. Adorned by white sand and turquoise water, the InterContinental Le Moana Resort Bora Bora offers you an exclusive and exotic retreat.
The InterContinental Le Moana Resort Bora Bora has 64 individual bungalows : 12 beach bungalows and 1 beach suite called “Heremoana” (2 beach bungalows linked with a lounge), 48 overwater bungalows and 1 overwater suite called “Poe Va'i” (2 overwater bungalows linked with a lounge). All the bungalows are junior suite size with air conditioning. They all feature a large sun terrace, living room, bedroom and beautiful bathroom with bath and dressing area decorated with live vanilla plants.
In the Overwater bungalows, the glass coffee table in the living room looks into the natural aquarium of the lagoon, with its clear turquoise water and sand bottom, illuminated at night.
The best Polynesian artisans have combined their talents to bring alive traditional Polynesian crafts : woodcarving, bamboo and pandanus weaving, tapa cloth making and mother of pearl engraving, providing an authentic Polynesian style to this deluxe resort hotel.

There are many new ultra-fabulous resorts in Bora Bora--including a number of VERY expensive new properties on the motus on the eastern side--but the Le Moana is definitely one of my favorites. Some of the newer properties lose the Tahiti "flavor" in their quest for bigger bungalows with more glass, more marble, more luxury, more "more". Le Moana felt very natural and Polynesian in its style, from the materials used inside and outside the bungalows, to the way the landscaping is done onshore.
While you're actually located on the main island of Bora Bora, it actually does give you great views of Mount Otemanu from the bungalows--something that's generally not the case if you're on the main island.
Another plus was the water: many of the resorts in Bora Bora especially on the eastern motus are set on a shallow part of the lagoon with mostly featureless flat sandy bottoms. This makes for spectacular water color and photos to take home, but not much to see when snorkeling except for small stingrays!
There's a coral garden between Le Moana and the Sofitel Motu, with lots to see in the water but still relatively shallow, mostly 20' or less and it's really not that far. If you look carefully at photos for this resort you'll see what I mean in the radical differences in water color--that's showing you the coral heads and variations in depth etc.
