Le Meridien Tahiti, situated on the beachfront in the Punaauia region, offers 138 lagoon view bedrooms and suites, with stunning views of the ocean, and 12 over-water bungalows, designed with an emphasis on natural materials and refreshing local colours. A crowning feature of the resort is a stunning 2000 sq-metre swimming pool with a sand covered bottom, believed to be the largest of its kind in the world. The hotel also has a tennis court and a landscape lawn for regular games of pétanque, beach volley and ping-pong.
Accommodations
Lagoon View Rooms: these look directly over the blue lagoon of Tahiti. All the rooms have a terrace, the ideal place to read or take in the sunset.
Polynesian-style Bungalows: stretching into the lagoon, 12 Polynesian-style bungalows perch right over the water. The bungalows (pictured) have a spacious deck for whiling away the hours over the lagoon.
Presidential Suite - located on the top of the hotel, the Presidential Suite looks directly over the blue lagoon of Tahiti. The Presidential Suite is very spacious, approximately 179 square metres, including a huge terrace, and offers a separate living area and bedroom.
Dining
The resort features two restaurants providing a wide selection of gourmet Polynesian and international cuisine.
L'ASTROLABE, in its quiet, refined setting, serves delicious cocktails while you listen to the rhythms of piano jazz. The Jazz Club is a weekly gathering of jazz fans a l'Astrolabe bar each Saturday evening at 9.30 PM.
Each month the Jazz Club invites a musical artist or group of international renown for a series of exceptional concerts
