Description
Opened since July 2002, this resort is designed to be the most exclusive resort in French Polynesia.
Le Taha'a is a proud member of the Relais & Châteaux association which confers on it the symbol of quality known as the 5C's: namely Courtesy, Charm, Character, Calm and Cuisine, privilege of 480 Relais & Châteaux establishments.
Superbly located on the coral reef of motu Tautau and facing the island of Taha'a on the lagoon side, it offers an unsurpassed view of the island of Bora Bora, on the ocean side. The resort is just a 35 mn private boat transfer from Raiatea airport or a 10 minute helicopter flight from Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa.
This traditional Polynesian style hotel is 5 minutes by private boat from the main island of Taha'a and offers 48 Overwater Suites, 10 Beach Villas and 2 Royal Beach Villas, more than two hundred square meters each. All feature ceiling fan, air conditioning, coffee & tea making facilities, espresso coffee machine, mini bar, hair dryer, safety box, iron and table, magnifying mirror, satellite television, IDD telephone.
The overwater suites have glass tables to view the aquatic life of the lagoon, a large sundeck and sitting area with direct access to the water. The beach villas offer a spacious lounge area facing the beach and a private tropical garden with plunge pool. The public areas are built among the trees, providing an exquisite view of the lagoon and the island of Taha'a.

The resort offers 48 Over Water Suites & 12 Beach Villas offering more than a hundred square meters in size.
Their facilities surpass all existing hotel accommodation in the whole Pacific region.

There are three restaurants and two bars. La Plage is located by the pool and beachside. Vanille and Ohiri are located in the heart of the resort among the trees. Vanille is the main restaurant and Ohiri is for fine dining.
Enjoy beach barbecues and Polynesian and seafood buffets accompanied with live entertainment.
Spa
Le Taha'a Manea Spa is blessed with an exceptional site: it nestles in the shade of a coconut grove between the meandering waters of a small lake and the lagoon. It has been built from natural materials in pure Polynesian style to ensure that it merges perfectly with its motu environment. In effect, it forms the strong point, one could almost say of the nerve endings, of Hôtel Le Taha'a.
Activities
Le Taha'a features a fresh water swimming pool. The pool is next to the beach and surrounded by decked and tiled areas with lounge chairs. It is serviced throughout the day by a pool bar and restaurant "La Plage".
Jet skis, water ski, 1 tennis court (night lighted); petanque (Bacci ball) area, volleyball court, and a beach jacuzzi are available.
Full range of excursions are available to discover the wonders of the island of Taha'a by sea, 4x4. Vanilla plantation, black pearl farms, motu picnic.
The resort has two different boutiques: one which offers every day conveniences as well as a large sample of local handicrafts, and the other which features the natural jewels of our Pacific lagoons, the world famous black pearls.
Unforgettable helicopter tours from Taha'a and Bora Bora, daily shutttle service and islands discovery excursions are the best way to combine Bora Bora and Taha'a together in an excursion.
Scuba
Their marine fauna is incredibly rich, varied and colourful. Underwater topography is also not without interest, with impressive depths, grottoes and crevices.
One of the special features is the presence of the Distichopora coral, which creates superb yellow and violet tones on the outward slopes. There are more than 25 dive sites around Taha'a and Raiatea, as well as localized dive sites at two of the eight passes through the reef into the single lagoon shared by both islands.

Get Pampered

Now this place gets a lot of hype and it was an amazing experience. Beautiful everything, everywhere you look. It is secluded in that it is on a Motu by itself. You can take a boat to the main island of Tahaa and rent a car and really see a different side of the islands. There aren't any big resorts and we visited a small pearl farm and a vanilla plantation. Otherwise we enjoyed the resort. The pool is small but it didn't seem crowded ever. The lagoon was great for snorkeling, there were hammocks, lounge chairs, outdoor massage tables. Really, if you want to be pampered completely spend a couple of days here. The food was amazing--the Polynesian buffet was top of the line including fish, scallops, etc. grilled to order. Very fresh. The overwater bungalows are huge and surprisingly private. Breakfast in bed was the best: Vanilla Coffee with coconut milk, fresh fruit plate, and pastry basket was more than enough for the two of us. Such fond memories all around. For us, 3 nights was enough pampering at the end of a wonderful 17 day honeymoon.
