They are a delightful combination of the flavors of France and the tastes of Polynesian cuisine, and no meal would be complete without one of the Pastry Chef's mouth-watering desserts. You will enjoy their special dinners and theme evenings, notably their Polynesian Evening each Wednesday with a traditional show and fire dances and on Saturdays their copious buffet from "The Sea", also with a Polynesian show.

Imagine too the marriage of his creations with the most prestigious wines from a list worthy of the God of Wine, Dionysus. You can now open your eyes wide! These dreams can become reality when you dine at Le Matiehani.
Bar "Autera'a"
The exotic setting of their poolside bar is the ideal place to enjoy such entertainment as how to make Polynesian marinated fish (Poisson cru) on Wednesdays, flower crowns on Thursdays and how to dance Tahitian-style.

This is a very nice resort and spa and the staff work hard to treat you well. Our experience was a little different due to the fact the the staff were on strike during our stay. Those who were working bent over backwards to make our stay wonderful. We stayed in a garden bungalow which was beautiful and had a very private back yard with a small pool to cool off in. The food was wonderful and the location was great. A short bike ride to the market and a little further to get to the bays. This resort had very good snorkeling right out in front of the overwater bungalows and we rented kayaks from the resort one day and had a blast.
