the sofitel moorea was my favorite sofitel that we stayed at during our honeymoon. we had a beach bungalow right across from the overwater bungalows. the view was absolutely breathtaking. we were a step away from the clear water and were able to see lots of fish and coral. the hotel is located far from the main city, but there's not much of a city so we didn't miss out on much. we were able to book activities through the dive center. we went on the lagoonarium which is an isolated island about a 20 minute boat ride from the hotel. you get to feed the fish, sea turtles, sting rays, and shark. i recommend the 1/2 day tour. i also recommend the 4X4 jeep tour around the island. make sure your tour includes magic mountain. the views are spectacular. we dined at both restaurants, restaurant k is considered the gourmet restaurant. we had the seafood buffet at the pure restaurant, be sure to take advantage of the all you can eat lobster!
